I enjoy taking photographs, but I still like to capture my pictures in my verse…\u00a0<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

I use my keyboard, not a camera,
\nTo catch a moment in time,
\nRather than stroke brush onto canvas
\nI paint images in rhyme.
\nScenes captured in verse
\nCan express more of the feeling,
\nThan a mere digital image
\nWill ever be revealing.<\/p>\n

Can a camera really capture
\nThe mood of the day,
\nDescribe the feel of the breeze
\nThat makes the trees sway,
\nOr tell of the scent
\nOf jasmine in the air,
\nOr the movement of clouds
\nThat say rain might be near?<\/p>\n

Can it capture the silence
\nWhen there\u2019s not a sound,
\nThe tranquillity you feel
\nWhen no one else is around?
\nCan it describe the warm glow
\nOf a blazing fire,
\nOr that taste of hot cocoa
\nJust before you retire?<\/p>\n

So to preserve an image
\nOr to capture a view,
\nI reach for my keyboard,
\nIt\u2019s just what I do.<\/p>\n
