Far better to question than to simply believe,<\/strong><\/em>
For a questioning mind is so hard to deceive.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We are losing our voices, becoming just echoes
Of a narrative we so naively accept,
It\u2019s a much easier choice
To join with the herd\u2019s voice;
At questioning we\u2019re no longer adept.<\/p>\n

And if we do question, then we are condemned,
As \u2018liberal\u2019 intolerance raises its ugly voice;
Some kind of \u2018ist\u2019 we\u2019ll be named,
Then derided and shamed;
Another opinion is not an acceptable choice.<\/p>\n

Too apathetic, too distracted, we just simply agree,
Instead of challenging we\u2019d rather bury our head;
In this age of information
There\u2019s a knowledge starvation,
By media opinions and views we are led.<\/p>\n

We can no longer speak freely about what we believe,
Independent thinking is being thwarted.
Like so many sheep in a fold
By political correctness controlled,
We are gagged as the truth gets distorted.<\/p>\n

Our children’s thought patterns now cloned to fit an agenda,
How to think is too dangerous to teach,
And so as today’s generation grow
They’ll probably never get to know
The true meaning of freedom of speech.<\/p>\n\n\n
